Nfl mock draft
I am basing my mock draft on two factors. I’m looking at the recent mock drafts from a couple of sources. And I’m also looking at Daniel Jeremiahs top 150 list from NFL.com. I’m not smart enough to do the mock trade thing that some mocks do. However, I will be saying which teams make the most sense to make a trade. Without further ado.
#1. Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza. This hasn’t been a secret since the Raiders secured the number one pick. I’m not sure if he’ll be a franchise guy or not. My money is not. But for a team that needs a QB badly, you don’t overthink it.
#2. New York Jets: Arvell Reese. I think Reese is the pick. You’re taking a guy with tremendous upside that can grow with the team in this rebuild. Bailey is more polished but, you don’t need polished right now.
#3. Arizona Cardinals: Sonny Styles. Rumblings are that they are trying to trade this pick, which makes sense. More ammunition to trade back into the back half of the first round to try and grab Ty Simpson. I also don’t buy the Love chatter with this pick. If they keep the pick, take the most complete athlete at the 2026 combine. They need LB help and they grab the best one.
#4. Tennessee Titans: David Bailey. Looking at their depth chart, they need help on the defensive front. Get better pressure on the defense and hopefully you get better QB play to make a 4-5 win jump. They have 4 picks in the top 101 and would still need another LB and CB, in my opinion.
#5. New York Giants: Jeremiyah Love. Yes, they have Cam Skattebo. But Love is a better player. And you have to wonder about Skattebo’s longevity with his playstyle. A receiver would make sense here as well. But they signed Isaiah Likely who will help Dart out immensely.
#6. Cleveland Browns: Carnell Tate. This team needs WR help badly. Tate makes the most sense, even though they don’t have a reliable QB. They will trot Watson out there. But he has played exactly 19 games the last four years. Playing him is better than Sanders right now. It’s best for Sanders to sit and learn for a bit.
#7. Washington Commanders: Jordan Tyson. This team brought in a lot of players through free agency. And while they did bring in 3 receivers, they need someone that can play across from Terry McLaurin. Enter Tyson. Lemon was a thought also, but he is better in the slot and Washington needs someone on the outside.
#8. New Orleans Saints: Makai Lemon. The run of receivers continues. The Saints need a defensive lineman also, but I don’t like having Bain in a 3-4 D.
#9. Kansas City Chiefs: Mansoor Delane. The Chiefs need defense, specifically a corner. And the best corner in the draft happens to fall to them. They also have four picks in the top 75 to help them get back into championship contention.
#10. New York Giants: Spencer Fano. The Giants got this pick from the Bengals from the Dexter Lawrence trade. I thought about Bain Jr here for a second. Ended up going with Fano because they need to keep Dart up if they are going to have success. They still have a good defensive front without Lawrence and they can get help on the defense with their round two pick.
#11. Miami Dolphins: Caleb Downs. The Dolphins need a lot. They signed Malik Willis after releasing Tua, so they won’t need a QB immediately. Whomever plays better between Willis and Ewers will get the job. They need a receiver in the worst way but, since they have seven picks in the top 100, they can wait a bit. They also need a CB and I thought about McCoy for a second. But Downs fell and makes more sense here because they also need a safety.
#12. Dallas Cowboys: Rueben Bain Jr. Quite a few mocks have Dallas moving up to grab Rueben but here he falls to them at 12.
#13. Los Angelas Rams: Francis Mauigoa. The Rams need a WR also but none of the good ones are left. With this pick they solidify the offensive line.
#14. Baltimore Ravens: Olaivavega Ioane. Every mock draft in the world has this pairing and it makes the most sense.
#15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jermod McCoy. They need an Edge rusher but none are worth a top 15 pick at this point. They can get one with their second pick. Corner is a need also and they take the second best in this draft here.
#16. New York Jets: Kenyon Sadiq. They have four picks in the top 44. They obviously need a QB at some point. I have them taking a TE upgrade because nothing else made sense here. Good safeties on the board but funny enough, it’s one position they don’t need.
#17. Detroit Lions: Caleb Lomu. The Lions need a new Offensive Lineman after the release of Decker.
#18. Minnesota Vikings: Dillon Thieneman. Harrison Smith has been a great safety for the Vikings in his career. Sadly, it’s almost time for that career to come to an end. Enter Thieneman to replace Smith.
#19. Carolina Panthers: Monroe Freeling. The Panthers made an improbable appearance in the playoffs last year by winning the NFC South. Then proceeded to take the Rams to the brink in the NFC Wild Card game. Continue to build on that and solidify the offensive line with Freeling.
#20. Dallas Cowboys: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren. The Cowboys should try and improve a defense that gave up a bunch of points last year. They took the Edge with pick 12. Now they add a safety.
#21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kadyn Proctor. I have mocked them an Offensive Lineman but, they need a QB in the worst possible way. Even if Aaron Rodgers comes back, they need to prepare for the future. However, it’s way too early to take Ty Simpson with this pick. I see a scenario where the Steelers trade back a few picks. But it’s a game of cat and mouse since it is heavily rumored that the Cardinals will try to move back into the first round to grab him. They have 12 picks in this draft. Which means that they can address the QB position later. All a matter of whom you like more.
#22. Los Angelas Chargers: Peter Woods. The Chargers are prime for trading back as well. They only have five picks in this draft and a trade back nets them more draft assets.
#23. Philadelphia Eagles: Keldric Faulk. The Eagles need a safety but can grab one later. They take another Edge rusher and get after the QB on every possible down with fresh defensive linemen.
#24. Cleveland Browns: D’Angelo Ponds. I really liked what I saw at the combine from Ponds. And I know that he isn’t mocked in the first round at all. But Cleveland isn’t going to take a QB until they see what they have. I have them taking Tate at six so, not another receiver. They could go Offensive Linemen. Ponds slides into an already good defense. They can address O-Line with their pick at 39.
#25. Chicago Bears: Peter Woods. They need an interior Defensive Linemen so, they might as well take the highest rated one in this draft. A trade back is possible as well.
#26. Buffalo Bills: Avieon Terrell. Buffalo’s biggest weakness might be at corner. Enter Terrell who will help the Buffalo D from the start.
#27. San Francisco 49ers: Omar Cooper Jr. They have a huge need at Receiver with all of the departures (or potential departures).
#28. Houston Texans: Kayden McDonald. Now the DT’s start coming off the board. Putting McDonald next to Anderson Jr. would be a dream for the Texans D. They could use another O-Lineman too and won’t have to wait long as they have #38 as well.
#29. Kansas City Chiefs: KC Concepcion. The Chiefs need a receiver. I have Concepcion rated a bit higher than Denzel Boston. Don’t be surprised to see Arizona trade into this spot to grab Simpson. In fact, AZ could trade into three of the last four spots to get him. The one being…
#30. Miami Dolphins: Colton Hood. I don’t think the Dolphins would trade back because they have too many holes to fill. They take Downs the Safety earlier and now take a CB to help out the secondary.
#31. New England Patriots: Christen Miller. The defending AFC Champions don’t need a lot. They could use an O-Lineman but I give them a DT now. Offensive Line is incredibly deep; they can get one in the second round.
#32. Seattle Seahawks: Chris Johnson. I give them a corner that I thought had an incredible combine. I’m of the opinion that they could use a RB at some point as well. Corner is their biggest need.
This is a tough assignment. Obviously, I’m going to be way off on my predictions. Because it’s not entirely what I think will happen. It’s a lot of what I would do in those GM’s shoes. It’s also tough because I was looking at other rankings besides just Daniel Jeramiah’s’. And a lot of those varied WILDLY. I hope you enjoy the read. Your opinions are always welcomed. Have a great draft!
